Are you looking for a holiday destination that is really extraordinary? You might be thinking of somewhere that provides beaches and sailing opportunities, plus the cuisine and ambience of a metropolitan city. A ideal vacation that provides all of this is a trip to the French colony of New Caledonia, located about halfway between Fiji and Australia.
As New Caledonia is situated further south than many of the other islands of the South Pacific, its climate benefits from southeast trade winds, plenty of sun, and warm weather. If a sailing holiday is what you are intending to have, New Caledonia is based in a part of the Pacific that has the biggest coral lagoon in the world. Sailing charters are easy to find and with the help of the trade winds you can sail out of the capital city of Noumea along the coastal line, past the many small islands that dot the ocean around the New Caledonia. The island also has other outdoor activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, canoeing, and kayaking.
If you were hoping for a gourmet holiday, New Caledonia has almost everything you could want. New Caledonia’s capital city, Noumea, also known as the Paris of the Pacific. Noumea features delicate gourmet French food and wine along with the other benefits of a active cosmopolitan town. Some of the best restaurants in the South Pacific can be found here. Claimed by the French in 1853, New Caledonia has a distinct French influence when it comes to food and wine.
There are lots of restaurants, ranging from sidewalk cafes to elegant bistros. French cuisine is easy to come by, but other alternatives include Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and African food. Seafood is a specialty of the Island, including spiny lobster, prawns, crab, and mangrove oysters. One of Noumea’s national dishes is Bougna, which is fish or chicken, combined with sweet potatoes and bananas wrapped in banana leaves and then grilled covered in sand on hot stones. For the adventurous traveller on a epicurean holiday, you can try out a dish favourite with the locals, bat stew.
You can make a vacation to New Caledonia anything you want it to be: a sailing holiday, a gourmet holiday, or a time to just relax by the beach.

Cream whipping today is made extremely simplified with the function of Cream Chargers. Also identified as nangs or whippits, Cream Chargers are cartridges filled with nitrous oxide or N2O. N2O is now used as the whipping agent. N2O emulsifies or foams up the cream. What takes place now is that it formulates more cream than manual whipping. A whipped cream dispenser is necessary to utilise along with the Cream Charger. They need to be employed unitedly for they make whipping with Cream Chargers and using whip cream much lighter.
Cream chargers are shaped to imitate a tiny feeding bottle which makes them very comfortable and handy to use. In addition, they are packaged in a box for uncomplicated storage so they are not large. You will not be bearing problems regarding storage. For safety reasons, they are specifically designed to contain the pressure within. Cream Chargers can only be utilized once. They are not refillable, yet, they are recyclable.
For safety considerations, they are specifically designed to bear the pressure inside. Cream Chargers can only be utilized one time. They are not refillable, yet, they are recyclable.
Our Cream Chargers are planned to be long-lasting and stylish. They look elegant and stylish since they are made of a shiny silver case. You can get them in the ordinary 8gm content as well as the 16gm content.

A few years ago, the only kind of energy drink that were around were vitamin packed nasty juice, or things like Gatorade. That’s what we use to drink when we needed a boost. But then we make the huge discovery of using caffeine to boost us up. I am not really sure what the fist energy drink to come out was. I think that it might have been theist stuff called Whoops. There was another drink that I can remember, I think that it was called Bawls. It came in a blue glass bottle with bumps all over it. Neither of them tasted very good, and more importantly, they didn’t have a good marketing scheme. Then all of a sudden Red Bull came out and everything changed. Finally a energy drink that tastes pretty good and had a bunch of caffeine and other stuff that made you go crazy. It must hake crack in it, because for some reason, millions of people were adduced to it as soon as it hit the store shelves. I know that I needed it every day, and for the last few years I have been having this drink a few times a week, just like the millions of others. They have great advertising and funny little cartoon commercials. Red Bull gives you wings. Then after the MMA world hit the TV’s of fight loving guys everywhere, Rock star hit the streets. Now it’s a battle between the nerdy flying scientists and the fighting fighters, who will win the battle. The 8 ouches supers hot of Red Bull. Or the 20 once Rock star mega drink. Only you can be the judge.

Acid reflux (also known as GERD or heartburn) is a common condition — Over 60 million Americans experience it at least once a month.
For some, acid reflux is a temporary phenomenon experienced only when eating too much, or eating particular types of food e.g. spicy foods. But for many others, acid reflux can be a painful and persistent condition.
What Is Acid Reflux?
Acid reflux occurs when the lower oesophageal sphincter (that normally closes after swallowing to prevent stomach contents from escaping) malfunctions and allows stomach acid to travel up the oesophagus. When this occurs, a painful sensation is felt.
What are the Symptoms of Acid Reflux?
The symptoms of acid reflux are a painful “burning” sensation in the upper chest and/or regurgitation of acid into the mouth. Some patients will even develop nausea although this is less common. Although often called “heartburn”, the pain should not be mistaken for that associated with a true heart attack or cardiac arrest which would be accompanied by tightness of and pounding in the chest, weakness and feeling faint.
What are the Treatments for Acid Reflux?
Fortunately there are many treatments available for acid reflux.
Antacids are usually the first port of call for many acid reflux sufferers. For short term and infrequent attacks of acid reflux, these provide much needed temporary relief. However, as a long term solution they are not suitable and alternatives should be sought.
Any sufferer of regular acid reflux should keep a diary of everything they eat and drink. Over time, patterns can be established and many people report elimination or reduction of acid reflux symptoms after changing their diet accordingly to eliminate problematic food or drink.
If dietary changes have little or no effect, there are various families of drugs that are available over the counter and on prescription.
PPIs, or proton pump inhibitors, are often prescribed and successful drugs. These work by inhibiting production of the stomach acid that causes acid reflux. They have relatively limited side effects. H2 blockers are a different family of drugs that have the same effect but work in a different way. For the vast majority of long term acid reflux sufferers, PPIs and H2 blockers are a successful drug therapy. Some people, however, fail to respond to treatment with PPIs and H2 blockers and their only option are more radical drugs known as promotility agents. Unfortunately, these can have very severe side effects and are therefore rarely prescribed.
Lastly, for those who fail to respond to drug treatment, or simply want an alternative to the daily inconvenience of taking drugs, surgery is an option. New techniques are constantly being developed, some of which include procedures such as Enteryx Procedure, Stretta Procedure, Nissen Fundoplication and Endocinch. Your doctor will be able to give you more advice on these surgery options.

Leave your tic-tacs at home. This medicinal plant provides delicious mouth fresheners to integrate into a balanced healing diet.
When a herb or plant has the designation ‘officinalis’ it means it has been recognised to have medicinal qualities. ‘Rosemarinus’, so called because of marine connections (colour of sea - grows by sea e.g. Mediterranean) is possibly the best example of a herb that we commonly grow that has extensive folklore and many attributed medicinal values.
Beloved by the Romans, who bought it to the UK from Turkey, they believed this valuable herb could preserve dead bodies from corruption and it was often strewn or grown in graveyards and around tombs. It was well known to the Tudors as a stimulant to the system. In ‘The Garden of Health’ (1579) William Langham writes:
“Carry the flowers about thee to make thee merry and glad and well beloved of all men…hang the flowers on thy bed and place Rosemary in the bath to make thee lusty, lively, joyful, strong and young. To comfort the heart steep Rosemary flowers in rose water and drink it”.
Gerard agrees in his 1636 Herbal. “The flowers of Rosemary, made up into lozenges with sugar and eaten make the heart merry, quicken the spirits and make them more lively”. He also notes that Rosemary water acts as a breath freshener.
Rosemary has long been recognised as a valuable heart and liver tonic and its use can help to reduce high blood pressure. It has been used in the treatment of nervous complaints, digestive disorders and menstrual pains.
Rosemary is a symbol of constancy in love because it remains fresh and fragrant when cut, longer most other evergreens. For this reason it was often used for solemn occasions such as weddings or funerals - ‘Be it for my bridal or my burial’. As in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Rosemary is for remembrance and in the language of flowers the gift of Rosemary means ‘Never will your memory fade’. Ancient myth has it that ‘Where Rosemary flourishes - the woman rules’. Rosemary is sometimes used in psychic work as an aid to concentration, memory and mental steadiness. Under the pillow or over the bed its delicious aroma is said to prevent nightmares.
One word of warning though - excessive use of Rosemary taken internally can cause fatal poisoning, but that is no reason to not sample the delicious and invigorating herbal tea or eat a few of the flowers.
Like the raw flowers, Rosemary sugar candies are a tiny taste explosion and quite delicious. Preserving them in sugar helps to extend the amount of time you can experience this uplifting Epicurean event. First of all find a plant with flowers. It often flowers twice a year so this should not be too difficult. You can either pick the whole flower from the plant, or set up some arrangement that catches them as they fall naturally.
In a warm place, such as a sunlit window sill above a radiator, drop the flowers onto dried (even warmed) white sugar. Make sure the receptacle is open enough that moisture can evaporate from the flowers into the sugar and then into the atmosphere. Also make sure that no moisture gets to this mixture at any point as the sugar will ‘clump’ and the flowers will start to rot, spoiling the taste. Shake the mixture now and then to aid the process.
When thoroughly dry, seal the sugar/flower mixture into a moisture-proof receptacle and every now and then - treat yourself !

All this rolled into one food
Many health conscious people are starting to realize what flax
seed can do for their mind and their bodies. The numerous
benefits of flax seed include being able to fight cancer and
heart disease, promote fitness and beauty, reduce hypertension
and arthritis, raise vitamin D levels in the body, and retain
magnesium, phosphate, and calcium levels within the body.
Products that provide only portions of these results are highly
saught after. flax seed is head and shoulders above the rest
because of its ability to provide a large number of positive
results. However, the question often arises of which form of
flax seed is more beneficial to the body. So which is better,
whole flax seed or flax seed oil?
Whole flax seed or oil?
Both whole and oil forms of flax seed have their advantages.
Flax seed oil comes in a very convenient and readily available
form. It also contains a lot of the essential Omega 3 fatty
acids essential for optimum health. Whole flax seed not only
contains the Omega 3 fatty acids, but other nutrients as well
such as protein, dietary fibers, and lignins. So it comes down
to a matter of what recipes and use you are looking for. As an
ingredient oil is very common. As a type of powder or topping
the ground seeds are great.
How to grind the whold seed
Whole flax seed must be ground to digest properly. Small
portable coffee grinders can grind the seed sufficiently for a
great texture. Once ground the seed is used to top almost any
food, cereals, salads and breads. Starter kits can be purchased
that come with a grinder, recipe book and a bag of flax seed.

Need a meal in minutes? Canned tomato products are your solution. These products are colorful, tasty, and healthy. According to a 1997 University of Illinois nutrition study, the lycopene in canned tomatoes may help to prevent prostate cancer. Other studies, including a year-long study conducted by the University of Toronto and another study at Harvard University, turned up similar results.
Canned tomato products are rich in vitamins A and C. One half cup of canned tomatoes equals a serving from the vegetable group on the U.S. Government Food Pyramid. The USDA has posted recommendations for storing and using canned tomatoes on its Website. Canned tomatoes should be stored in a cool, dry place, the FDA says, on a shelf and not on the floor.
You should avoid freezing canned tomato products or exposing them to sunlight, the FDA adds, because temperature changes shortens their shelf life and speeds deterioration. Leftover tomatoes should be refrigerated in non-metallic containers that have tight lids. Use these leftovers in 2-4 days.
Never buy products in dented or bulging cans. Tomatoes are acidic and, to prevent a reaction between the acid and the metal, the inside of the cans has been sprayed with a protective lining. Dents may damage this lining and the product may be spoiled.
Tomatoes are a fruit and an adaptable fruit at that. There’s nothing like a bowl of Tomato-Basil Soup with Caesar Croutons on a rainy day. If you like fish you’ll like Sole Poached in Tomatoes and White Wine. As for Cheddar Scalloped Potatoes and Tomatoes with Bacon, they go with just about everything, including scrambled eggs. Got a can opener?
TOMATO-BASIL SOUP WITH CAESAR CROUTONS
INGREDIENTS: 1 large can of tomato puree (28 ounces); 42 ounces prepared chicken stock (the kind in the cardboard carton); 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, garlic powder to taste (about 1 teaspoon); 1 tablespoon snipped fresh basil; Caesar salad croutons; grated Parmesan cheese
Pour tomato puree into soup kettle. Using the empty can as a mesuring cup, add 1 1/2 cans of chicken stock to the puree. Pour in a little more stock if the soup seems thick. Add remaining ingredients except croutons. Cover soup and heat until it starts to simmer. Garnish with Caesar salad croutons and grated Parmesan cheese. Makes 6-8 servings.
SOLE POACHED IN TOMATOES AND WHITE WINE
INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 pounds sole fillets (or talapia); 3/4 cup diced canned tomatoes, drained; 1 medium onion, chopped; 2 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley; 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper; 1 clove of garlic, minced; 1/2 cup dry white wine; 1/4 cup half and half; 1 tablespoon soft butter; 1 tablespoon Wondra flour
Place fish in a non-stick skillet. In a bowl combine tomatoes, onions, parsley, seasonings, and white wine. Pour over fish. Put lid on skillet, leaving a crack for steam to escape. Poach fish for 5-10 minutes or until it flakes with a fork.
Take lid off skillet. Drizzle half and half around fish. Work the flour into the soft butter and add this roux to the fish sauce. Move the skillet in a circular motion over medium heat until sauce thickens. Serve with rice and butter lettuce salad. Makes 4 servings.
CHEDDAR SCALLOPED POTATOES AND TOMATOES WITH BACON
INGREDIENTS: 3 medium potatoes, washed but not peeled; 14 1/2- ounce can of diced tomatoes with juice; 3/4 cup frozen chopped onions; 1 1/2 tablespoons Wondra flour; 2 cups mild cheddar cheese, grated (may use Velveeta); 2.8-ounce package of real bacon pieces (the precooked recipe kind)
Coat a shallow baking dish with cooking spray. Cut potatoes into thin slices. Combine tomatoes, onions, and flour. Spoon a little of this sauce on the bottom of the baking pan. Layer potatoes, tomato mixture, bacon, and cheese in dish, ending with cheese. You should have enough for two layers.
Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Tent the dish with non-stick aluminum foil if the cheese browns too quickly. Cool for five minutes before serving. Makes 6-8 servings.

Wine has been a part of our lives since as long as I can remember.
It has a well deserved reputation as a sophisticated drink, which requires knowledge and acquired taste in order to fully appreciate it. But, of course, newcomers can take much pleasure as well.
To enjoy wine at its true value and preserve the best taste, one must invest in storing it in the right place, angle and temperature. While that was a hard thing to do in the past and only the very rich could afford it, requiring underground cellars, nowadays storing wine is made easy with the modern wine racks.
If you are an amateur with just a few bottles to account for, or a collector with a vast selection, but live in an apartment/house that has limited space to be dedicated to a wine hobby, tower wine racks may come to your rescue.
These modern wine racks can hold anywhere from three to hundreds of bottles.
Tower wine racks are made to accommodate versatile needs and allow you to start small and grow your collection with time.
These racks are designed vertically, not horizontally and, therefore, save on ground space, while allowing you to store numerous bottles.
In addition, modern wine racks are made with today’s requirements in mind - to match every décor possible - wooden, metal, glass, and so on.
Tower wine racks can be divided/made on request into separate cabinets to achieve optimum temperature required by various wines, such as - white wine in cooler temperature and red wine at room temperature.
Most of these modern wine racks come with built-in drawers and shelves, enabling you to store wine connected items (corkscrew, decanters and other items).
