Despite the reasonably adjusted thermostat in my best friend’s house, his room always seemed to be colder than anywhere else in the home. I visited him several times in the winter and finally I asked “How can you stand sleeping in here at night?”
My friend told me that he had an electric blanket that adjusted to the exact temperature he wanted to be, so it did not matter how cold his room got at nighthe could always sleep toasty war. His electric blanket was a lifesaver for him that winter, considering that he and his other roommates could not afford to crank the thermostat temp up any higher. My friend showed my how it worked. Just plug it in and there is a dial to set the heat levels.
I never noticed the electric blanket in his room before, I guess this is best possible condition I thought that electric blankets would stand out in a roomI thought a good electric blanket would probably be ugly and stand out. However, my friend’s electric blanket was the same shade of green as the rest of his beddingit was a dark, velvety material and folded nicely at the end of his bed.
Now, you must be thinking that electric blankets cost a fortune. However, you might be pleasantly surprised at the cost of electric blankets if you look in the right places. Lots of deals are offered online for reasonable prices. And sometimes you will even find the great prices you are looking for and save money compared to what you expected to pay for your electric blanket.
Either way you look at it, you will be saving lots of money by purchasing electric blankets, because you will not have to turn up the heat at night on the thermostatand that will reduce your gas bill. Considering the high prices of gas lately, electric blankets are likely to become even more popular when the cold comes back on us fiercely this winter season.
Well, being someone who gets cold often, I sought out my own electric blanket, it was inexpensive and it is beautiful. A lovely burgundy rose pattern that matches my winter quilt. I have found no better solution anywhere else to my persistent nighttime chillsin fact, I have slept soundly and comfortably through the cold nights ever since I first bought my electric blanket.

When things around you start to get a bit blurry or you are tired of wearing eyeglasses, it may be time to consider contact lenses. But what is the first step? A good start is a visit to the optometrist even if you are only getting colored contact lenses to change your eye shade. Because they are considered medical devices, it is critical you have them fitter properly by an eye care professional. In the United States, they can be purchased only with a written prescription. You want to make sure that you can actually wear them before you purchase them. You can buy contact lenses almost anywhere they sell eyeglasses but a good place to look in on line.
There are a number of retailers who sell leading brands such as Acuvue at fantastic prices. So now that you can go ahead and buy them, which ones do you buy? Let’s start with what they are made of. You can have soft, they contain up to 79% water, are very easy to get used to and are comfortable or you can get RGP or rigid gas permeable. They tend to take longer to get used to, they are more durable than soft and are also more resistant to buildup. The decision is up to you. You may even want to try both kinds to see which suits you better. Now, how often you replace your soft contact lenses will be up to the replacement schedule. You can buy daily disposables, extended wear disposables (1 week to 1 month), frequent replacement (1 month to several months) and 1 year or conventional. Acuvue offers all of these types including colored contact lenses.
The latest trend on the market is continuous wear contact lenses. You can leave them in for up to 30 days. Yes, you even sleep with them in. They are manufactured with material that allows for more oxygen to reach your eyes making them safer and so much more comfortable. You can choose from the top selling brands such as Acuvue, Biometrics55, Focus, Freshlook, Optima and Softlens to name a few.

With the web today you “sorta haveta” have a rank in the major search engines if you want to be seen. I mean with 250,000,000, yes 250 million searches a day on Google alone, how are your visitors and potential customers going to find you?
Now, there are numerous ways in which a Search Engine ranks a website; by keyword density, relevancy, content, etc. etc.. But Link Popularity is an ever growing statistic in how the Search Engines continue to rank websites.
Link popularity, is how “popular” your website is. That is how popular your site is compared to other websites. To put it another way; it is the number of “other websites” that have a link on their website to your website. Did you get that?
Now, although Link Popularity “building” is a large science and art in itself, I’ll briefly touch on a couple ways in which you can see how popular you are and how to go about improving your link popularity.
A small side note though, is link popularity is a BIG way in which Google ranks their search results. They refer to this as “PageRank”. With the Search Engine, FAST, they call it “link score”.
Now there are quite a few software programs and sites that can help build your link popularity as well as check your popularity.
Now, there are many ways to check your link popularity. But if you simply want to get a small idea, a little way for you to do this is go to any search engine and type in, “link popularity”, without the quotes, and there will be lots of results for you to choose from. And then simply pick a site and check your site popularity.
Now, a small way to build your popularity is by going to the altavista.com engine and type in “link:yourcompetitor.com”, and the results that show up will tell you what sites have posted links to your competitor’s websites.
Then simply visit a site and look for a contact method, be it an email address, phone number, etc. and express an interest to them in trading links. It is a win-win method for both sites so, you have nothing to lose. Some might happily oblige, and some might not. It’s certainly worth a try.
In summary, link popularity can be a never ending chore if you have a website. This is because having links on related websites to your website is a very good form of Targeted Traffic which never really quits, because most related links stay up for a long period of time, thus providing a continuous stream of targeted traffic, which, by the way is totally cost free.
And Search Engine traffic and reciprocal link traffic are the best forms of Targeted Traffic there is online. And both are free.

Many people associate autoresponders with emails. They are not mistaken anyway but for this piece of auto pilot programs are more than emails. Autoresponders are tools that can be used in a variety of ways to grow and skyrocket the sales of a business. Remember that, sale does not only involve the mounting of an ecommerce site, putting up a shopping cart and then getting buyers to make choices. It involves constant, well-crafted and sophiscated interaction with customers.
In this article, we look at 5 effective ways you can use autoresponders to generate six figure incomes for your website.
Publishing an ezine
Autoresponders which have the broadcast capabilities can be used as a cost effective means to create mailing lists to which you can periodically send your readers ezines. Ezines have the great value of preparing the minds of your prospective buyers for a purchase. It is a good platform from which you can launch your product or service, or explain how your business works. The more informed your customers are, the more they will buy from you.
If you are publishing ezines, it will serve you best to first offer a sample content. This way, prospective readers can have a preview of the actual ezines and then be able to get the needed urge to read the full ezine or the real one to follow.
Article distribution
You can use autoresponders to distribute your articles. Articles in which you have embedded your product links are an excellent way to boost sales. There are two reasons for this: First, an article is more explanatory and friendly than a sales letter. Secondly, an article can surreptitiously suggest to the reader to buy a product or patronize a service indirectly. The most important point for publishing articles are the confidence and authority with which the readers associate the writer. If your readers find your articles informative and useful, they will tend to like your opinions and recommendations’ resulting in greater sale of your products.
It is not only your opt-in list that can benefit from your articles. You can broadcast them to webmasters who need articles to boost their search engine rankings. As people read them at these sites, they follow the links in the articles to reach your site for a purchase or an enquiry of your product.
Using autoresponders to generate repeat sales
A customer who buys from you today is more likely to buy again tomorrow. Actually every business should strive for repeat sales and people who buy for the first time take less effort to make the next purchase.
You can use autoresponders to tell your past customers about the latest version of a product or an upgrade. You can even tell them about the availability of some accessories or enhancements to the original product that are worth buying. You can even tell them about discounts available and even say it is available to only past customers for them to get a feel of being valued as buyers.
No business can afford to lose sight of the leverage that autoresponders bring to them. It is therefore a strong recommendation that both start up businesses and well-established ones incorporate them in their website planning and online presence efforts. A growing number of online entrepreneurs are finding success with article directory submission services. Website operators, business owners and internet traffic specialists have found article marketing to be a valuable tool in their success.
If you’ve ever read an article on a website and noticed a brief paragraph, located at the bottom of the article, detailing the author’s name and website, then you have already experienced the success of an article directory. An entrepreneur prepares an article, which is centered around their niche and submits it to an article directory. Other webmasters are constantly in search of new material for their website, so they often visit an article directory for information. They may see this article and decide to add it to their site with the condition that the author is given full credit at the bottom of the feature. The credit will likely include the author’s name, brief bio and link to their website.
For each individual who reads an article directory, there is added potential for new customers. If they weren’t interested in your specialty, they wouldn’t be reading the article. So, you’ve already reached someone who has a direct interest in your product or niche. Once they are finished reading the article, they are likely to visit your website if they found the information to be valuable.
Article directory submission services are free to writers, as well as webmasters. Consider that you are opening an internet jewelry store and need to gain interest, spread the word and find customers for your new business. Well, you are obviously a jewelry expert since that’s your chosen business, so write about it. Select a topic, write a brief feature, offer advice and submit the final copy to an article directory. At the bottom, always be sure to include a brief paragraph with your name, some information about your new company and a link to your website. When other webmasters stop by the article directory in search of news for their site, they may be inclined to use your work on their website. If they do, they will also include a link back to your site.
Article directory services provide the potential for a large amount of increased traffic and exposure for a new, or existing, website. There is no better way to gain respect in your profession than by being knowledgeable about what you do. If you are, it will show through in your work and people will be drawn into your site in search of even more information. Article directory services are one of the most powerful new tools available to online entrepreneurs and, best of all - they are free!

Getting paid for Adsense Ad clicks is a very popular monetization model for many website owners. There’s just one problem…most websites earn very little money from Adsense and their owners can’t seem to do much about it
So, how do you ‘really’ increase your adsense revenue?
Here is the question I get a lot from my coaching students…
How can I increase my Adsense income when the only pages I rank well for in the search engines have low value keywords on them? In other words, my site ranks well for little used keywords, but hardly registers at all for pages containing high value keywords that attract high Adsense click amounts.
A great question, and here’s the solution.
Build lots of pages that you can rank well for in the Search Engines (using high profitability keywords from say Wordtracker) and then use the content you write to send people to other articles on your site that promote these high value high cost-per-click Adsense ads.
For example, at the end of an article on a page with an easier-to-rank-well-for keyword, put a note that says -
“Readers who liked this article on Making Your House A Welcoming Home have told us they also enjoyed our article on Building A Financial Fortress Around Your Assets because they had no idea that they were at such a risk of losing everything they’d worked so hard for.”
…and include a link to another article on a page containing Adsense ads for asset protection, financial planners, lawyers and associated services that have a very high value per click.
This way you don’t have to rank well for the most popular keyword phrases in your niche, but your visitors still get to click on your high value ads earning you higher Adsense revenue and making you much happier about your website’s performance
And of course, remember that once you have your subscriber’s name and email address, you can write articles containing high value keywords with good Adsense click payouts and then direct your readers to those pages in your newsletter.
That way, your subscribers have to visit the page you want them to go to in order to read your article. If they click on one of your Adsense ads, you’ll earn a good commission…
When you have your visitor’s name and email address, you’re in the drivers seat instead of just hoping people visit the pages with the high value keywords on them. You have a lot more control over what your readers see and where they go when they are on your website.
Hope is not a business strategy. You have to plan your visitor’s experience, and having their name and email address is the best place to start…
To sum up…
1. Getting every visitors’ name and email address into your database is a pivotal part of turning your website into a profitable business. It is the one goal you should focus on above all else…it’s that important!
2. Create the path you want your visitors to take as they move through your website and control their experience by directing them to where you want them to go.
3. Build a long term relationship with your readers and they will reward you with a lifetime income stream that just keeps growing as you do less and less work every week.

Writing articles for your site and for the use of others, is a
simple proven way low cost way to get more traffic.
Articles can be used for all subjects and just like newspapers
and magazines, is a recognised way of sharing information.
Articles a low cost way of promotion but they do take time
which can pay you back year after year for your efforts.
Most people tend to think that they can’t write well. It’s
nothing more than sharing helpful information that you have
learned. For example the idea of this article is to help format
you thoughts and then the best way to format it best for users.
So lets get started.
1. Firstly you need to choose who is your target market. Who is
your article for and why would they find it helpful?
Example: “Home business websites who are looking for low cost
traffic”
2. Choose the purpose of you article. Why are you writing it?
How will you use it? This will help guide the content of it.
Example: “Provide an article for distribution, which other
webmasters/ezine owners can use creating links back to my site,
and subscribers to my ezine”
Always keep the purpose of the article in mind, which will help
you keep on track with your content.
3. Article Subject -What are you going to write about? What
subject? Use other articles you have seen or experiences you
have had for ideas.
Example: Using articles for low cost online promotion
From the subject you have chosen you need to create a headline
of sorts- some thing that makes people want to read it. Create
curiosity and use emotion.
Example: How to turn words into free traffic for your site
4. Format Outline -This is when you decide the format of your
article, just like you were taught at school.
a. Introduction - An outline of what you are going to discuss
and why.
b. Main body - Points you are going to cover including any
references to helpful sites or site involved in what you learnt
c. Conclusion - What resulted and how it worked or it didn’t.
What could you do differently next time.
d. Resource box - Normally a link to your site, information
about your site, about you. Here is good article on resource
boxes:
http://digitalawol.com/box
5. Checking - At this stage you should have the outline of an
article. You need to get someone else to read it over, spell
checking it, making sure the information flows well.
I also recommend leaving it overnight before using it. It gives
you a chance to re think it.
6. Online formatting - If you intend to make your article
available to ezine owners, then you need to make sure it is
formatted correctly and easy for them to use. The standard
accepted format is 65 Characters wide- in plain text.
Most people us Microsoft word for word processing so you will
need to re-format by using a program such as Note Tab light
http://www.notetab.com/ (no cost) which will format your
article correctly.
One thing you will also need to do is ensure you only have
paragraphs of 4-5 lines otherwise it creates a “mental block”
for the reader, and becomes too hard to read online.
So now you have a formatted, helpful article ready for your
use. The last thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to
provide helpful, well-researched information. A full-page ad for
your site will not do you any good and will get deleted quickly.
Try to write from your own experiences and it will come across
as real and very readable.
My next article will cover getting the information out there
and working for you.
You can get the next article by subscribing to our ezine. It
will surprize you find out that there are places you should NOT
post your article, as they may not help your business.

Introduction
Based on its recent share price, pay per click search engine, Google,
now has a stock market capitalization of about $107 billion, more than
the combined stock values of stalwarts like Boeing, Ford Motor and
General Motors! Its closest pay per click search engine rival Yahoo!
has a market capitalization of about $45 billion. So what’s so good
about these pay per click search engines that has catapulted them in
the Fortune list of America’s most admired companies?
To get to the root, you first need to understand the pay per click
search engine programs. Even though Google AdSense and Yahoo! Search
Marketing Solutions, like many PPC programs, are plagued by claims of
click fraud; they are clearly an effective revenue source for many
reputable web businesses. Publishers or webmasters insert a java script
into their web site. Each time the page is accessed or displayed, the
java script pulls advertisements from these programs. These ads are
targeted and related to the content contained on the web page serving
the ad. Google seems to be well content oriented and uses your meta
description and meta keywords, in addition to page content, in order to
serve up ads that are appropriate to the subject matter of the web site.
At its most basic level, advertisers do not pay anything for the ads
displayed until someone actually clicks on them and gets redirected to
the advertisers’ website. Thus, advertisers are paying-per-click for
potential customers who have actually arrived at their websites. This
concept of pay-per-click has been around ever since evolution of the
Internet and the rise of search engines. However, this type of online
advertising in its current form began in 1997, when an entrepreneur
named Bill Gross developed an idea for the first-ever pay per click
search engine GoTo.com.
Conclusion
What has happened in the search-engine marketing arena over the last
couple of years, is a paradigm shift from the traditional means of
online advertising to a previously less-employed option called
pay-per-click advertising. Because pay-per-click (PPC) has plenty of
advantages, and only few shortcomings, many more companies are
beginning to experiment with this type of advertising, thus fueling its
growth. The introduction of localized search to the mix is the
decisive, convincing factor that further sways small and medium
businesses to consider this form of online advertising. I myself have
gotten plenty of leads and made sales due to pay-per-click advertising
on the Google search engine.

Recently scientists have found five new Martian meteorites. These
were recovered in the Antarctica and the hot deserts of Oman and
the Sahara.
There are now just just 24 Martians rocks that have been found
on earth. These are wonders because these rocks contain chemical
clues about Martian history. The possibility that the planet
once possessed oceans of water and life can be deduced by
examination of these rocks. That makes finding these rocks
important and valuable to the finder. One rock weighed in at
about 30 pounds.
Hunting for meteorites does not have to be a bone chilling
adventure to the Antarctic where the temperature is 50 below
zero F and 50 mile per hour winds. Meteors enter the earth
atmosphere everywhere. They impact everywhere. The trick in
finding them is to look where they have had a good chance of
impacting or where they have been concentrated by natural forces
of the earth and HAVE NOT BEEN DESTROYED BY WEATHERING. This
means deserts are a good place to search for meteorites. Deserts
can change over the centuries. But deserts don’t alway have
major weathering. Thus if you want to find meteorites you may
want to come to our Truth or Consequences Ranch. It is located
in New Mexico adjacent to the Chihuahuan Desert. There are
trillions and trillions of terrestrial rocks for each meteorite
that could be in this area. Metal detectors are used by many
professional meteorite hunters around the world. Metal detectors
can easily distinguish between ferrous and non ferrous rocks.
Since not all meteorites are ferrous only the ferrous meteorites
will be found by the metal detector. Modern metal detectors can
balance out dominant background rocks. This inhances the
detector to find the meteorites. Metal detectors creat a
constant hum. The volume and pitch of this hum increases as the
detector passes over the metallic object. There are hot rocks
which produces a signal but is a false positive. Thus detecting
requires concentration and you will see lots and lots of hot
rocks. You must also keep a visual eye for other interesting
rocks which can be meteorites. It seems that the best way to
find meteorites from this area is to use a combination of metal
detecting and good old-fashioned shoe-leather foot searching.
The weather is not hard to predict for the Truth or Consequences
area. Don’t bother to bring a rain coat, it only rains 10″ per
year. The winters are mild as it is Southern New Mexico. It
could get to 10F, but not for many days of the year. A clear sky
with a gentle breeze is the norm.
