There are many factors which need to be thought about when choosing what kind of
href="http://www.yourfloors.co.uk">flooring
to install. Getting new flooring installed in your
home can breathe new life into it and can be a great way to reinvigorate your living environment. It
may not be as expensive as you think either.
An important factor when choosing flooring is how that particular room will be used. Flooring which
makes sense for the dining room may not be suitable for the kitchen or bathroom for example. Some of
the most widely used types of flooring are carpet, vinyl, wood, and laminate.
Laminate flooring can be a great substitute for solid wood floors if you are looking for a wood
effect floor for a fraction of the price. Laminate flooring consists of a sheet of MDF with a wood-
effect plastic surface fixed to it. The downside of laminate flooring is that whilst it is scratch
resistant once it is damaged it is impossible to repair. That aside it can still be an ideal choice
for a kitchen, where the plastic coating provides an easily cleanable surface. Conversely solid wood
flooring would not be advisable in a bathroom, or in fact any room which is likely to get very humid
and wet. Some woods are more vulnerable to the wet than others.
If you are planning to install a wooden floor, its critical you have the right surface to fit it
on. Ideally your existing floor needs to be flat, and dry. There are options however to resolve
uneven flooring problems, such as laying ply throughout, or employing an underlay to create a
floating floor.
Often laminate flooring is sold as a product you can fit together without help which is a great way
of keeping costs down. Solid wood flooring requires however a higher degree of DIY skills, so it can
sometimes be advisable to get solid wooden floors fitted professionally which can add a considerable
cost.
One point to remember many people do not realise when they measure their room to work out how much
flooring they will need ” is that it is crucial to include a 10mm gap around the edge of the room
for the wooden flooring to expand and contract.
As an integral part of any interior design strategy, it is important to select the right flooring.
Whilst wooden or laminate floors can be ideal ” often for a more chic minimalist look; carpet can be
a better option if you are trying to achieve a more traditional home feel. The important thing is
you take into account the various factors you need to consider before ordering new flooring.

The term ‘Remortgage’ can mean a lot of different things to different people largely based on why you want to remortgage and what you want to do with the proceeds.
Perhaps you’re coming to the end of a fixed rate, discounted or capped mortgage deal. Perhaps you want to release some of the equity that’s accrued in your home - don’t forget that even though house prices are falling today, they’re still a lot higher than they were a few years back.
Essentially, if you’ve got equity tied up in your property, a remortgage can help you to release that equity to use how you wish, whether it’s for consolidating some of your monthly payments (debts), for a life event or for making some home improvements
Whatever your reasons for remortgaging you’ll be able to see how vital it is to get the right financial advice before making any decision on the final product. You should consider the changes in the market since you arranged your last remortgage and find a mortgage broker who can offer free advice and specialises in finding mortgages for your situation.
A remortgage is essentially a mortgage, the only difference being that you already have the Title Deeds from the completion of your purchase. This can make the remortgaging process simpler than applying for a mortgage on a new property.

All right, that’s a bit strident.
Some professional resume writers would strongly recommend an objective statement. There’s nothing necessarily WRONG with one, but I think it’s a challenge to make any objective strong and compelling enough, and sometimes it gives you enough rope to hang yourself.
A typical objective statement goes something like this:
“A challenging position with a respected and dynamic company in the industry.”
Let me rephrase that for you:
“A job.”
Most resumes have such a poorly written objective that the person reading uses it for garbage bin target practice.
Don’t misunderstand me here. It’s possible to have a well-written objective statement. That would look something like this:
“An extremely motivated Senior Manager with a proven track record in operations management and quality improvement. Possessing expert TQM skills in addition to excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Seeking a challenging position where these skills will be used fully.”
That objective statement probably won’t get your resume thrown out.
See the difference?
The first resume objective statement was more about you than about them. The second one certainly had things about you in it, but it was (I hope) targeted to the specific kind of job you’re looking for, and it included your qualifications for the job. In other words, it’s about what you can do for them.
An even better resume objective would look like this:
“A highly experienced sales and marketing professional with comprehensive strategic planning and implementation skills, and $27 million in total profit improvement added in 8 years, seeking a position as a Sales Manager where these skills will add value.”
You’re hired! No, probably not yet. But you’re not eliminated as a candidate either.
A weak resume objective statement gets your resume tossed. A strong one won’t necessarily get you the job interview, but it’ll pass the initial screening, and encourage the reader to get the details that back up your intro.
If the details are good enough, you’ll get the interview. That’s the goal.

Increase Your Self-Confidence …
How to Increase Confidence and Self-Esteem
If you want to be more confident and create a higher level of
self-esteem - start by tackling projects that you know you can
do. Set goals that you know you can achieve, as you achieve them
raise the bar by setting goals that are a little higher. Keep
track of the goals that you achieved. Have a closer look at
those that you didn’t achieve and learn something from them - so
that you get better results by applying what you learned the
next time around. Failures are important - because you will
learn from them and that wisdom will propel you to greater
success.
Understand that you won’t succeed all the time at everything
that you do. The best baseball player hits around .350 - which
means he misses 65-percent of the time. But every time he misses
he learns something - understands what he didn’t do right and
goes out and tries it again. He works on his swing and
mechanics. My point is baseball players don’t focus on the
failure - they learn from it and move on to the next challenge.
Confident people learn from their mistakes and failures - they
don’t ignore them or dismiss them. They don’t dwell on them.
They learn from them and build on that wisdom.
Acknowledge yourself. One of the things you’ll learn in the
Creating Power system is the importance of focusing on your
positive qualities. Hey we’re not perfect - but if we focus on
all that is wrong with us we’ll only get down, depressed,
unmotivated, and lose our confidence. However, if you focus on
your positive qualities, the things that you like about yourself
- you’ll begin to attract people who like you for those positive
qualities. We spend a good deal of time on this subject in the
Creating Power system - because it’s important to get your mind
to move in a direction that will benefit you. That’s what
Creating Power does - it teaches you how to train your mind and
subconscious mind to focus on what you want so that you achieve
your goals.
Don’t dismiss or ignore those qualities that you don’t like
about yourself. Take a closer look and then think about what you
can do to change - so that you eliminate the things you don’t
like about yourself. If you don’t do this - they’ll always be
there. You can’t simply ignore them.
Having confidence and a high level of self-esteem is something
that you will need in order to achieve your goals. I can’t think
of a single successful person who doesn’t have a high level of
confidence or self-esteem. Without it you’re doomed. But this is
not something genetic - confidence and self-esteem are developed
over time and this is done based on how you see yourself. Change
your perception of yourself and you’ll begin to increase your
confidence and self-esteem. You can only change this perception
by changing the way you think - by looking at yourself
differently. This is just one of the topics we focus on in the
Creating Power system. With Creating Power you’ll learn how to
increase confidence and self-esteem while achieving all your
goals.
You have incredible powers at your disposal. Don’t waste this
opportunity — learn how to use them. Creating Power is the
Instruction book for your mind. Remember: take control of your
thoughts and you change your life. Start today - don’t waste
another moment creating the life you don’t want. Remember - this
is it. This is the only life you have. Use your incredible
powers to make the most of it.
These are some ways and steps to achieve whatever you want.

Banner ads are down but not out. The billboard-like Internet ads
that appear on web sites everywhere don’t pull the response they
once did. Yet, today’s much lower ad prices are giving many
businesses an affordable and effective way to spread the word
online.
Back in 1994 when the Web was new, as many as 40 percent of
people who saw a banner ad clicked on it. As time passed and
banners became commonplace, response rates dropped to 1 to 2
percent. Those figures are comparable to what other
media–radio, TV, newspapers, and direct mail–can deliver.
Banner ad rates have dropped from $20 to reach 1,000 people a
year ago to just five or six dollars today. Even though the
trendy luster of the Web has passed, there are still millions of
interested prospects to be found online. This could be the best
time ever for small and medium-sized businesses to stock up on
banner ads.
The Internet ad industry isn’t taking response rates lying down.
Recently the Internet Advertising Bureau approved standards for
new, larger banners. The new “wide skyscraper” size has already
appeared on top sites and is three times larger than what we are
used to. Advertisers hope the larger size will get reader
attention, converting more sales.
Experts warn not to get caught up in the flash of new banner
technology. The quality of your offer and the clarity of your
message are still the main factors in getting results. Here are
five ways to make sure you banner gets attention and pulls
response:
* Your banner should ask the reader to take action. Something as
simple as putting “Click Now!” on your banner can increase
response.
* Use words that attract interest and create emotion. Free and
Special Offer are favorites. I like to start each line with an
action word. Buy, Save, Profit, and Rush work well.
* Push the main benefit your product or service provides. Most
advertisers forget this point and promote their product’s
features. Show readers how a feature leads to something that
benefits their situation. The chrome fender on the Gizmo 2000
saves time and reduces costs.
Animated banners pull better response than static ads. Sites and
banner networks usually have guidelines that help keep your
animated banners from becoming a turnoff. Keep your ad size
under 12k. Anything larger takes forever to load for anyone
using a slow dial-up line as almost 80 percent of North
Americans do.
If you use photos in your banner, keep them low resolution so
they load quickly. In many cases you can reduce the standard 256
web-safe colors to just 16 for an even “lighter” banner.
Animated banners step readers through two or three successive
panels. Put your most important message on the first panel so
those with slow connections don’t miss out if the second panel
doesn’t pop up before they click away. I like to put the main
offer on the first panel with a few delicious details on the
second.
If you banner is light and loads fast, feel free to have the
most important part of your message on the third panel. For
example: (1) Tired? (2) Feel better fast (3) Get
Energizomine…Click here!
Before you commit big money to your banner ad campaign, test
your ad or ads with a 30 day trial run. Most banner networks
provide reliable statistics on how many people have seen your ad
(impressions) and how many clicked on it to go to your site
(click-throughs). You can also check the server logs your web
host provides to see where hits are coming from.
Pay close attention to the web page visitors are taken to after
they click on your banner. One of the biggest complaints is
users can’t find information about the offer they saw on the
banner. Tailor a special page to correspond with your banner.
Make sure you give plenty of information, ways for prospects to
contact you, how to buy, and what your product or service costs.
Too many sites are leaving these points out of their sales page,
making this one of the chief causes of lagging banner response.
Banner ads are the Internet’s main advertising vehicle. Over the
next few years, as more and more people get fast broadband
Internet connections, we will see “rich media” banners that look
more like television.
Low ad prices and less competition makes this a great time to
promote your offer or name online. By following these simple
tips you can make banners a reliable part of your marketing
arsenal.

Someone emailed me recently, “Do you think it’s possible to have
too much emotional intelligence going on? To the point that
perhaps logic takes a backseat?”
Good question. The fact is, we need both IQ and EQ. You can’t
have “too much” emotional intelligence, but that doesn’t mean at
the expense of logic.
It’s time to use logic, for instance, when figuring out a
budget, or making a timeline for a project. Then there’s a time
to use emotional intelligence - using leadership skills, for
instance, to get those people to make that timeline and project
happen.
Emotional intelligence means using all your faculties, including
logic and reason, to bring about results that are favorable. It
means having the flexibility and creativity to see alternatives.
Say you’re presented with a highly-charged emotional situation,
for instance. You’re furious with your partner and would like to
hit him. Your EQ would tell you to manage that emotion, to stop
and think. Your “thinking brain” would then consider the
possible consequences of your act — seriously hurting him,
going to jail, harming the relationship irreparably, feeling
shame and guilt afterwards, and other things that are not in
your best interest. At the same time, you could use your empathy
to try and see things from their point of view.
There are times when logic does need to take a back seat, for
instance when we need to use our hearts in managing a
misbehaving toddler. Logic and reason aren’t of much use with a
two year old. They also aren’t of much use in figuring out the
big questions in life, like why bad things happen to good
people.
Emotional intelligence means managing emotions so you can take
action in the best interest of all concerned. This also requires
using your thinking brain!
